This was an incredible comic. Eternal Enemy is a sweet villain. I love how the story can include him in the flashbacks, and in this one in particular, we flash back, and the Enemy gets away. This ish explores what happens when he controls Gilad. Sweet. Gilad taking the bullets from the former Enemy is one of the best parts of the story. The pace is excellent - and bringing out the cameo appearance at the end to solve this - brilliant. Great issue.
Under her spell!
I love the Masters of Evil. WAY back in my earliest of comic days, one of my first sets of books was the Avengers getting taken over by the Masters of Evil. A fun romp. Interesting to see where Zemo came from - but sad to see that this story was so strange. Iron Man gets kicked out. Okay. Thor under the spell. Fine. Captain America rides a jet back from the jungle? Ugh. I guess I do have a tough time seeing past some of the hokiest of sciences sometimes. The issue isn't terrible, mind you. Just not nearly as good as the Immortal Enemy one.
