I still do love the story of the cursed silver. It's freaking cool. This issue continues the story - and it isn't a great one, but compared to the Mole Man... Not much problem. I am starting to hate the art in the book. A hidden guest star - Dr. Mirage and Carmen - show up at the end, but first the story. Geoff looks like a whiner, but he isn't too bad. And the story works for introducing Darque - and the Mirages - at a much more serious tone. The pursuit is well-done. Pretty good story. Crummy art.
Underground
Iron Man has roller skates. To keep his transistors powered up. Gotta mention the invitation to join the MMMS in the book, too. With a personally autographed Stan Lee certificate. Wow. Sadly, this book was terrible. Mole Man is a wretchedly awful villain. Pair him up with the Red Ghost (see the Apes attacking FF from before), and you've a recipe for disaster. The book tries to tell a GIANT story - and fails throughout. It does remind me of the Silver Age - and how each story seemed to tell a succinct story - closing on the end of the comic - and this one could have really benefited from being stretched out a bit.
