You need to read the Geomancer issue first. I kinda wish that section - and door would have had a stronger closure to the comic - it's indicative of this era that so many strong issues would end - but never close. So much of Valiant HAD such a tight continuity from issue to issue - but lost most of it here. Now this story closes poorly. Find SOME interesting characters. Crack dealers? This isn't what Gilad would be starting to investigate when he was finally relieved from his centuries-long duties, would he? But wait a second. One green eye, I see. OKAY... THAT I will buy.
Captain America QUIT
For a hole half of an issue. He becomes a professional boxer? And kicks the pants off of everyone. Of course. He's Captain America! Duh! Then, as soon as he hears a police report, he's BACK with the gang. I like the idea of having only three Avengers - and trying to write a story surrounding that could be REALLY cool. But... Cap rejoins for a battle against Kang - who could be the most amazing of all villains - and I do like his constant change of costumes - but he is such a dope - that he constantly gets trounced by the Avengers - and in this comic - a girl who supposedly loves him. Could be much better.
