An interesting comic. It starts with the Eternal Enemy - a great character - but I have to say that this part of the comic was probably the worst done section. Very underwhelming. Dull, even. When a guy can jump from body to body it sort of makes him TOO undefeatable. I wish that they had left him a little more vulnerable. I love the changes in Gilad, though. He becomes a real jerk. Sole-minded on the elimination of the enemy - and with him being this powerful - he should have tons to work on. It ends up pretty well done - a literal cliff hanger - and then some - at the end of the book. I just wish the whole thing had been more consistent through.
Greatest enemy and friend.
Not a bad issue at all. Kang is a cool villain-type. From his ability to time-travel, the writer can re-invent him a hundred times - and never has to step on any previous history. Convenient, eh? This book finds Kang at the end of his little warfare with this futuristic civilization. Kang starts to conquer, but then has a change of heart - as he's fallen in love. As trite as it sounds - and is written - it kind of works here. Even the Avengers team goes back and forth on trusting him right until then end. As a great tragedy, of course, Kang's love is slain at the conclusion of the story. Nice insertion of the others watching, as well.
