I loved the direction that this comic is really turning. The visual storytelling is getting much better - flipping through was an easier trip than in the past, without getting too cluttered. Still MORE Eternal Enemy stories - and this might really be the best one of the bunch. I like Gilad grouping up with the locals - both in the past and the present day story. This parallel was nice - much better than last month. And seeing Gilad as fallible - even if not kill-able - was a good change. More stories should follow this line - instead of the always too tough to execute line. That's what a hero is, right? Able to win, but sometimes with costs.
Sealed in a new land
This book has everything it needs to succeed. Dr. Doom - one of the greatest villains of all time. A SUPER crossover. The revelation that Doom is actually a benevolent dictator -okay. Not TOO benevolent a dictator. A trap is laid, and a Hitchcock like ending. But, it really doesn't work out. I like the feuding of the group, but I found myself wandering about halfway through the book, wondering when the team would change again. I am getting bored with this set of characters. It just doesn't live up to the hype of the time. Thank goodness along comes a savior -Wasp next issue!
